How it works
The short version
EssaColor turns a symbolic monthly theme into usable color ideas. It combines a disclosed numerology convention with original editorial styling rules. It does not predict events, measure your personality, or analyze your skin tone.
Your personal month
Reduce the sum of your birth month, birth day, and current calendar-year digits to 1–9 to get your personal year. Add the current month and reduce again to get your personal month. For example, April 26 in May 1995: 4 + 26 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 5 = 54 → 9. Then 9 + 5 = 14 → 5. We use calendar years and do not retain master numbers in this monthly calculation.
The color connection
We assign nine original palettes to nine monthly themes: initiative, connection, expression, grounding, exploration, care, reflection, confidence, and renewal. These precise shades and hex values are our creative choices, not a universal numerology standard.
The personality connection
Your self-selected MBTI label is optional. E/I changes bold-mode color proportions. S/N adjusts saturation and contrast. T/F shifts the palette cooler or warmer. J/P changes structured versus mixed styling suggestions. Your soft/bold preference is explicit and takes priority. We do not infer a type or offer an official assessment.
Practical before mystical
Hair ideas use a natural-looking option when requested. A digital preview cannot predict actual dye results. Nail and outfit suggestions are ways to use a palette, not rules about what you must buy or wear.
